Hi! I'm
  Janet Schilling

My philosophy:

Some women seem to have been born with an instinctive sense of style. I have developed my own style over time by many years of observing, learning, and professional training as an image consultant. I've "dressed the part" for a wide variety of professions I've worked in including teaching, the tech world, real estate, and law. I have enjoyed success and confidence when dressing in my own style instead of adopting someone else's version. I know that a first impression is critical to how others perceive and respond to you.

Today, my passion is helping women experience the transformation that comes from discovering their own signature style and curating a wardrobe that aligns with their goals. I will help you feel more confident whether you're advancing your career, starting a business, or entering a new stage of life. I have created packages to fit every need and goal, from those just starting out on their journey to those accomplished professional women looking for extra guidance in polishing their look.

A brief look at who I am:

  • Founder of Let's Dress You

  • Certified Image Consultant and Color Analyst, professionally trained by one of the industry's leading experts

  • A "serial entrepreneur" with extensive experience in management and leadership roles

  • Founded a civil litigation law practice in California

  • Served as a Judge Pro Tem, as a member of a local Board of Appeals, and as President of numerous organizations and clubs (currently President of the Tidewater Toastmasters club)

  • Founded a successful historic bed and breakfast in St. Michaels, Maryland, and operated it for more than 25 years

  • Studied art, interior design, clothing design, and garment construction, creating a strong foundation in color, proportion, balance, and craftsmanship

  • Lifelong passion for fashion, design, sewing, gardening, home renovation, and creative problem-solving

  • Diverse interests and not afraid of new challenges including racing Porsches in California and skippering a sailboat in races on the Chesapeake Bay

  • Organized a charity runway fashion show featuring forty complete outfits created entirely from donated clothing and accessories, demonstrating that exceptional style comes from thoughtful choices—not an unlimited budget
